Phillip Island, Victoria – A devastating car crash on Phillip Island, Victoria, has claimed the life of a 19-year-old local and left four others injured. The tragic incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday near the junction of Millennium Way and Justice Road in Cowes when the car, carrying five men, lost control and collided with a tree.
The victim, a passenger in the vehicle, sadly passed away at the scene. Three other passengers and the 18-year-old driver from St Kilda East sustained injuries that, fortunately, were not life-threatening and were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
The driver, now identified as an 18-year-old man, has been charged with dangerous driving causing death in connection to the incident. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the crash to contact Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000 or their local police station.
