Peyton Plunkett obituary: Parkway HS student passes away in Bossier City

Bossier City, LA – In a heartbreaking incident on Friday, October 27, 2023, the community of Bossier City, Louisiana, was struck by a devastating tragedy. Peyton Plunkett, an 18-year-old student of Parkway High School, and Seth Battlefield of Haughton lost their lives in a single-vehicle crash on Rambin Road just west of U.S. Highway 171.

According to the preliminary investigation conducted by the Louisiana State Police Troop G, Plunkett was driving a 2019 Ford F-150 east on Rambin Road. For reasons still under investigation, the vehicle crossed the centerline, veered off the road, and collided with a tree. Tragically, both Plunkett and Battlefield lost their lives in the accident.

The bodies of the victims were transported to a nearby hospital, where medical professionals confirmed their passing. Additionally, two other adolescents who were not restrained during the incident sustained significant injuries and were promptly taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
