Paul Benson, a hiker, is missing from the Kings Canyon National Park’s Ranger Lake region

In a concerning turn of events, a search operation has been launched for Paul Benson, a 65-year-old hiker who was reported missing on Wednesday, September 13th, at approximately 8:40 in the morning. Benson had embarked on a day trek in the Ranger Lake area of Kings Canyon National Park, with plans to return to his camp at Ranger Lake later that same day.

Paul Benson was part of a group of eight individuals who had set out on a multi-day backpacking adventure, exploring scenic spots including Seville Lake, Lost Lake, Ranger Lake, and the JO Pass vicinity.

The last known sighting of Benson revealed him wearing an olive brimmed hat, tan or red clay-colored slacks, a fleece adorned with blue, purple, and brown stripes, and a red and gray jacket. His distinctive appearance and clothing details could be crucial in locating him.
