Patrick Okedinachi Utomi (born 6 February 1956) is a Nigerian professor of political economy and management expert. He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Management Consulting and a former presidential candidate. He is the founder of the Center for Leadership Values (CVL) and the African Democratic Congress. He is a professor at Lagos Business School, and has held senior positions in government, as an advisor to the president of Nigeria, the private sector, as the CEO of Volkswagen Nigeria. .
Biography and educational background
Patrick Utomi was born in Kaduna, he is a native of Igbuzo in the North Oshimili Local Government Area of Delta State. He attended elementary school at St. Thomas, Kano 1960 – 1962; Our Lady of Fatima, Gusau 1962 – 1966; Christ the King College, Onitsha and Loyola College, Ibadan, completed his secondary education at the age of 15. The age for college admission was 17, so he was temporarily enrolled at the Federal School of Arts and Sciences. . He was then admitted to the University of Nigeriaz, Nsukka in 1973 to study Mass Communication. Patrick Utomi graduated from University of Nigeria Nsukka in 1977, He attended Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana, USA, where he obtained his Ph. Marine Protected Area, Th.S. He was appointed Professor of the Social, Political and Economic Environment of Business and Entrepreneurship at Lagos Business School in 2003. He has been a resident scholar at Harvard Business School and American University. in Washington, DC
Politics
Pat Utomi has been announced as the All-Progressive Congress gubernatorial candidate for the 2019 general election in Delta State by a faction of the All-Progressive Congress. The National Working Committee of the Progressive Global Congress overturned the faction statement and declared the Great Ogboru Leader the Delta State Governor Candidate for the 2019 general election.
