Noa Kirel, an Israeli singer, actress, and television personality, has been trending since her participation at the MTV Europe Music Awards on November 13, 2022. Kirel showed off her stomach in an attire that also contained Kanye West’s images with gold chains, the Star of David, and the Chai sign. She added that she chose the attire to make a statement.
In an interview with Variety, the artist stated:
“I had this thought: after all the anti-Semitic things Kanye said about Jewish people – and I’m Jewish – I knew I had to have something big on the red carpet.” I really wanted it to convey a statement rather than simply an outfit. And it takes courage, but I believe the message was heard.”
Her attire was designed in conjunction with Kirel’s stylist, Itai Bezaleli. She also said that it was loved by American popstar Taylor Swift. Kirel added on her encounter with Swift in person:
“She was just sitting there when I noticed her, and you know, I’ve got the Israeli chutzpah, so I was like, I’m going to introduce myself.”
Noa Kirel is well-known for her music and television appearances.
Kirel’s career began with the HOT documentary series Pushers. Her debut song, Medabrim?, was posted on YouTube in 2015, followed by Killer. She continues to release new songs as they gained popularity on social media and Israeli radio stations. Noa Kirel also hosted Lipstar in February 2017 and released a song called Makom Leshinuy that year. Lirkod, Kimeat Meforsemet, Wow, and more songs were released concurrently by the musician.
She also participated in the adolescent film Nearly Famous and released a single in 2017 called Etzel Ha’Doda ve Ha’Dod, which was a rendition of Danny Sanderson’s song. In January 2018, the musician starred in the TV series Kfula and served as a judge on Israel’s Got Talent. She appeared on The Ultras’ Cinderella single and also worked with Ma Kashur Truo and Itai Levy on a cover of Arik Sinai’s Hine Ze Ba. In May 2021, the 21-year-old partnered with singer Omer Adam and produced a remixed version of Israel’s national hymn, Hatikvah, which was panned by the public. Please Don’t S**k, her debut worldwide song, was released in July 2021, followed by Thought About That in January 2022. Noa Kirel was picked to represent Israel in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in July 2022, and she accepted the invitation the following month.
