It is very rare in life that I can say I have truly lost…Today I can truly say that I have lost. There are few people that I have ever met in this life who truly made the world a better place to live and you Nicole DiCarlo not only made my world a better place to live, but you truly made the world a better place to live for everyone. Through your career as an educator, to your warm smile as a friend, to your undeniable faith as a Christian, you raised me up and you did the same for all you came into contact with. I never dreamed when you told me that you were diagnosed with cancer that I would be writing this post, but unfortunately I am…I wasn’t ready to write this, I wasn’t ready to say goodbye, and most importantly, I wasn’t ready to live here in this life without you. Today really, really, really, hurts and it’s going to take me some time to accept this reality…but I know you wouldn’t want me to be angry, I know you wouldn’t want me to hold a grudge, so I’ll do the best that I can to accept this story and to hopefully one day be more like you. I don’t understand why you had to pass and I never will, but I’m so thankful for every laugh, every smile, and for every year of friendship and time that we spent together. You will be missed more then you know…but anytime I look up at the clouds I know that I can still see you and talk to you at anytime. Thanks for all that you did for me, for the Davis family, and for every single person whose lives you touched. The world lost a legend this week…and even though your gone, your legend lives on. Love you Nicole…RIP
