Nicky Campbell is a Scottish radio and television journalist and broadcaster who has hosted BBC Radio 5’s Breakfast Live program from 2003, The Big Questions on BBC One from 2007 to 2021 and Long Lost Family on ITV from 2011. From 1988 to 1996 he hosted the game show “Wheel of Fortune” and from 2001 to 2009 he hosted “Watchdog”. In 2004, he published a book called ‘The Blue-Eyed Son’ about his own adoption experience.

His adoptive mother worked as a psychiatric social worker, and his adoptive father worked as a map printer. He went to the exclusive school of Edinburgh Academy. Nicky revealed in July 2022 that he had witnessed and endured brutal physical and sexual assaults there, which had “significantly impacted the [his] lives.” He earned a 2:1 degree in history from the University of Aberdeen.
