Nicholas Cebulski obituary: Teacher at Farwell HS passes away

Farwell Area Schools is gripped with sadness as they mourn the sudden and unexpected passing of Nicholas Cebulski, a beloved teacher, on Saturday, October 7, 2023. At just 22 years old, Nicholas, also known as Nick, was a dedicated high school English teacher at Farwell High School, fulfilling his dream of educating young minds.

Nicholas Cebulski’s life was tragically cut short by what appears to be natural causes, leaving his loved ones and the community in shock. He was not only a remarkable teacher but also a genuinely kind and authentic person, leaving a profound impact on all those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Before joining Farwell High School, Nicholas attended Lake City High School and later became a proud graduate of Central Michigan University, where he was a member of the esteemed Kappa Delta Pi. He began his teaching career with great enthusiasm, embodying the essence of teaching excellence both within the campus and in his classrooms.

Joseph Steven Cebulski shared a post  on fb on the death of Nicholas:

It’s been 2 days since the death of my son and best friend, I feel like my heart will never recover. Nicholas was one of the kindest and most loving people I knew, 22 years is too short, and he had so much left to give the world. Julie, Corrina, and Zack, I love you more than words can express, and I’m sorry if I don’t say it enough. Nicholas I love you, and miss you so much.

In the wake of this devastating loss, Farwell Area Schools has activated the Critical Incident Response Plan to maintain a safe and supportive environment for students and staff. The school is offering counseling services and support through the Critical Incident Response Team to help students express their grief and navigate their emotions during this difficult time.
