Jefferson High School is mourning the sudden and heartbreaking loss of Nate Sanz, a senior who tragically passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2023. His unexpected departure has left the entire school community and those who knew him in a state of shock and devastation. Nate will forever be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him during his life.
In the wake of this heartbreaking loss, Dominique Genochio shared her grief in a poignant statement: “Today we lost a beautiful boy, only 17. He had so much light, but sometimes the darkness seems unbearable. May God continue to wrap His arms around my SANZ Family. You never think this could happen to any of our kids. Please help with what you can…”
Nate Sanz was a dedicated member of the Jefferson High School community, serving as the Vice President for the Polynesian Club. He was a shining star in the realm of sports and a talented athlete. Nate’s presence could light up any room; he had a remarkable ability to bring laughter and smiles to everyone with his kindness and good nature.
Had he graduated this year, Nate would have completed his high school journey and played his final year of football and baseball, leaving a legacy of sportsmanship and camaraderie.
