Natalia Dudzinski of Bristol, CT and 2-year-old kid ‘Malika Scott’ dies in car accident

West Hartford, Connecticut – The West Hartford community is in mourning as a devastating accident claims the lives of a beloved 2-year-old boy, Malakhi Scott, and his godmother and close friend, Natalia Dudzinski. The two were on their way to a family member’s home when their car was struck head-on by another vehicle, leading to an instant and tragic loss.

Malakhi Scott was a bright and lovable child, 2 years old, adored by everyone who knew him. His mother, Taya Moore, described him as funny, smart, and great at math activities, according to his teachers. He had a delightful and silly personality, often playing the character Branch from the “Troll” movies.

Natalia Dudzinski, 26, of Bristol, was not only Malakhi’s godmother but also a close friend to Taya Moore. She had been in Malakhi’s life since he was born and played a significant role as a second mom to the child. Dudzinski, who worked as the general manager of an IHOP in Southington, was known for her ambition and kindness.

Taya Moore’s family is now raising funds for Malakhi’s funeral expenses through a GoFundMe account. Moore expressed her devastation and desire for justice for Natalia and her son. Their loss has left her heartbroken and numb.

The tragic accident occurred on Interstate-84 eastbound in West Hartford when another vehicle, traveling westbound, lost control and crossed the median into the eastbound lanes, resulting in a head-on collision with Dudzinski’s car. Both Malakhi and Dudzinski lost their lives instantly, succumbing to blunt-force trauma, as determined by the state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

The crash also involved a tractor-trailer that was unable to stop in time, further complicating the accident scene. While the driver responsible for the crash suffered only minor injuries, the truck driver emerged unharmed. The investigation into the incident remains ongoing, with no charges filed as of Friday.

Taya Moore, who cherished the close bond between her son and Natalia Dudzinski, expressed that this loss is not only felt by her family but by the entire community. The tragic accident has left a profound void in the lives of those who knew and loved Malakhi and Dudzinski. Their memory will be cherished and missed deeply by all.
