Moretti’s Restaurant owner Thomas Moretti passes away in Elmira

In a sudden and unexpected turn of events, Thomas “Tom” Moretti, the owner of the beloved Moretti’s Restaurant, passed away at home. His passing, without indication of the specific cause, has left family, friends, and the community in mourning.

To pay respects and share condolences, friends and family are invited to the Walter J. Kent funeral home at the intersection of Lake Street and Washington Avenue on Thursday, January 4th, from 4 to 7 o’clock in the evening. A Christian funeral service, or mass, will be held at St. Patrick’s Church on Friday, January 5, at eleven in the morning. Following the service, a prayer of condolence and the interment of Thomas Moretti will take place with military honors in St. Peter and Paul’s Cemetery.
