His journey through life took him through Beaver Dam High School, where he graduated, and then to higher education at UW-Platteville. In his professional life, Mitch established himself as a respected Agronomist, deeply dedicated to the Agricultural Industry. His passion for farming was a defining aspect of his identity.

His mother, Lynne Dehn of Beaver Dam, and sister, Karalyn Massen of Lake Mills, hold his memory close to their hearts. The special bond he shared with his nephew and niece, Henry and Evalynn Massen, stands as a testament to his enduring love. The journey through life often presents us with unexpected twists and turns, sometimes leading us down paths that leave us wondering “Why?” and are profoundly impactful. My time with Mitch was a cherished chapter, albeit imperfect. Together, we created two pieces of perfection, and I will forever be grateful that he loved them unconditionally, with every piece of him.In the days and weeks to come, I kindly ask for your thoughts and prayers for these two. Their world will forever have a void left by the loss of their dad. They understand that he is in heaven with their Grampy and Uncle Tyler and for now, we tread gently, sharing only what they can comprehend.Mitch will be missed and hopefully remembered with a smile whenever someone thinks of him or looks at these two. He was a good man who worked hard and was incredibly intelligent when it came to his work. Though he battled inner struggles daily, his children were his pride and joy – something I’ll always make sure they know and feel in their hearts.Services will be Tuesday, October 3 at Ripon Immanuel United Methodist Church.
