Missing Kylie Horne and Kylann Harper found safe; AMBER Alert cancelled after intensive search efforts

Georgia, USA – A collective sigh of relief reverberates through Georgia communities as the AMBER Alert issued for missing children, Kylie Horne, 11, and Kylann Harper, 4, has been cancelled. The two youngsters, who were reported abducted from a Burger King over the weekend, have been found safe, putting an end to the frantic search that gripped the state.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation confirmed that Kylie Horne and Kylann Harper were located unharmed after they were last seen on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at a Burger King restaurant on Veterans Parkway in Columbus. Authorities initially believed the girls were in “extreme danger” and were traveling with Mikaela Harrell.

The search efforts, a collaboration between law enforcement and concerned family members, intensified as the community rallied together to locate the missing children. The trio was believed to be traveling in a blue/gray 2011 Honda CRV with the license plate number TGS7835 from Georgia. However, the relationship between Harrell and the girls remained mysterious, adding to the urgency of the search.

Updates from the authorities revealed a change in the suspect’s vehicle. Harrell and the children were later spotted in a gold 2004 Lexus with the Georgia license plate number SBZ8631. As the search continued, detailed descriptions of the children’s clothing were shared, providing crucial information to aid in their identification.

Kylie Horne was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, gray sweatpants, and white crocs, while Kylann Harper was dressed in a pink long-sleeved top and pants.

The safe recovery of Kylie and Kylann serves as a testament to the swift and dedicated efforts of law enforcement, the community, and concerned citizens. Georgia residents join in celebrating their safe return, highlighting the power of community collaboration and vigilance in ensuring the well-being of all its members.
