Mike Shuster, an award-winning journalist associated with National Public Radio (NPR), began his career in the early 1970s, reporting on the Angolan civil war in Africa for Liberation News Service. Over the decades, his commitment to journalistic excellence and his passion for uncovering the truth led him to witness and report on some of the most critical events of our time.
In his extensive career with NPR, which began in 1980, Shuster filed more than 3,000 stories. His assignments took him to conflict zones such as the Gulf wars, Bosnia, Kosovo, Israel, Palestine, and the fall of the Soviet Union. As a senior diplomatic journalist, he delved into issues like nuclear nonproliferation, terrorism, and developments in the Pacific Rim.
