The Edmonton community is mourning the loss of a beloved leader, Mike Boychuk, who tragically passed away on September 1, 2023, due to a heart attack while riding his bike in Invermere, British Columbia. Mike was also a devoted family man, dedicating his time to accompany his children, Brooklyn and Blake, to numerous sporting events, from hockey games to soccer matches. One of the cherished memories shared by his loved ones is the spirited hockey games where Mike would provide insightful commentary, creating memorable moments with his family.

Professionally, Mike had a successful career in environmental civil engineering. His attention to detail and passion for his work were evident in his involvement in various land development projects over the years. He co-founded Intentional Land Developments and later joined David Schaeffer Engineering in Toronto after his retirement.
