Joshua Williams, the Super Bowl winner, was born to parents George and Angela Williams. Unfortunately, Joshua lost his mother at an early age. George Williams left to raise Joshua alone, and took on the roles of both father and mother. The North Carolina native is now slated to be one of the Chiefs’ standout players in the 2024 Super Bowl. Joshua Williams embarked on a fantastic football career, beginning as a nickel cornerback at Fayetteville State University.
His second season saw him go to the outside corner, where he had remarkable figures of 32 tackles, 11 passes defended, and two interceptions. Even though his junior season was canceled due to COVID-19, he persisted. In his senior year, Williams was named first-team All-Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association. The Kansas City Chiefs drafted Williams in the fourth round, and he made significant contributions. Furthermore, he made critical interceptions in key games, most notably the AFC Championship. His outstanding effort in Super Bowl LVII helped the Chiefs win, cementing Williams’ burgeoning star status in the NFL.

Joshua Williams was born to George and Angela Williams on October 17, 1999, in Fayetteville, North Carolina. His mother, Angela, died of heart issues when he was just six months old. Despite the difficulties of single motherhood, George William’s father relocated to the Fayetteville region, near Angela’s relatives. Joshua was nurtured by a supportive community, which included his great aunt Ebony Augustus and uncle Ronald Louis Williams. Furthermore, Joshua refers to his father as ‘Superman’. This demonstrates that George’s passion and efforts did not go unnoticed.
Joshua’s football career started at the age of five, fuelled by his father’s enthusiasm. George, an army veteran, instilled in Joshua a winning attitude and a detest of losing. Furthermore, George remembers Joshua’s competitive drive, emphasizing how his son would weep when lost. This early introduction to the value of perseverance paved the way for Joshua’s future football success.
George William Served in the Us Military
George’s passion for service goes beyond his duty as a parent. George served in the United States Army from 2004 to 2009, where he was a Noncommissioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC) of Plans. Even after leaving the military, George remained involved in the defense industry, serving as a military analyst at Totalis Consulting Group Inc. and then at Data Solutions & Technology Incorporated. Furthermore, during Joshua’s high school years, George accepted a contracting job with Lockheed Martin, which required him to go to Europe briefly.
In addition to Joshua, George and Angela had a daughter, Mattison Williams. George has not remarried, however, he does have a kid from a prior relationship called Kellisa Williams. Joshua also has a tight relationship with his cousin Bryan Johnson, who was raised as a brother. George Williams, originally from Saint Kitts and Nevis, is proud of his Caribbean heritage. He received a Business Administration degree from Webster University in 2010.
Additionally, he has a Master’s Degree in Information Technology and Management from the same university. Joshua hasn’t forgotten his father’s country, as demonstrated by the St. Kitts and Nevis flag on his helmet. The SKN even shared Joshua’s photo, congratulating him on his accomplishment.
