The East Boston community was rattled on Friday, December 15, 2023, as police from District A-7 swiftly responded to a stabbing report at the 186 Gove Street neighborhood. Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult male with critical stabbing injuries. Despite immediate transport by Boston Emergency Medical Services to a nearby hospital, the victim, identified as Wilfredo Landaverde Arevalo, 34, of Medford, Massachusetts, tragically succumbed to the injuries.
The Homicide Unit of the Boston Police Department is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident. As of now, no arrests have been made, and the police have not released any suspect information.
