Martin revealed that his son was raised by both his father and mother. Martin, a graduate of Samford University, served in the Marines in Iraq. The bereaved father says all he has done in life is to show his son that it is possible and provide him with a positive role model to follow.
Marsiah’s father kept tweeting trying to turn him into a thug because he was filming a music video with a gun. According to Martin, the gun was a fake and people assumed that Marsiah was responsible for his own death. After several days passed with no sign of a suspect, the victim’s family wondered who was responsible and the motive for the mass shooting.

The two victims, Marsiah Emmanuel Collins and Philstavious Dowdell, were friends, it has been revealed. Dowdell, from Camp Hill, Alabama, was a senior at Dadeville High School. After receiving a football scholarship, Philstavious committed to Jacksonville State University.
They were all there to celebrate Dowdell’s sister’s birthday.
