Man shot dead, woman injured in homicide-suicide in Northampton shooting

The victims were identified as Burt Schutt, 53, who lost his life, and Lisa Gagliardi, 51, who sustained injuries. Both Schutt and Gagliardi, residents of Northampton, were previously in a relationship, according to the police. A handgun used in the incident was found by investigators. The shooting took place around 11:30 a.m. Responding officers discovered Schutt deceased from a gunshot, while Gagliardi had sustained a gunshot wound and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
