Little Rock City manager ‘Bruce Moore’ dies at 57 after serving more than 35 years

The City of Little Rock mourns the loss of Bruce T. Moore, the city’s long-serving and dedicated City Manager, who passed away peacefully at his Little Rock home at the age of 57. Bruce T. Moore was an exceptional leader and public servant who dedicated over 35 years of his life to the City of Little Rock, leaving a significant mark on the community he served.

Bruce T. Moore began his journey with the City of Little Rock more than three decades ago, starting as an intern and progressing through various roles, eventually becoming the Assistant City Manager in 1999. In 2002, he was appointed as the City Manager, holding the position for over two decades and becoming the longest-serving City Manager in the city’s history.

Throughout his tenure, Bruce T. Moore earned recognition and awards for his outstanding management skills, organization, and expertise. He played a crucial role in the city’s development and improvement, working tirelessly for the betterment of the residents, visitors, and the City of Little Rock’s municipal employees.
