My Lord! I just cannot believe our Linda Fletcher is gone! Our esteemed and acclaimed Director of Fine Arts of Pasadena ISD…to say this woman was a force in music education is an understatement. I met Linda twenty years ago at a new music teacher’s meeting as a new employee with Pasadena ISD. She pushed me hard and encouraged me to make that Choir mine! She was tough in expectations, standards, quality and raised all kinds of standards for music education in Pasadena. Whatever Fine Arts educators needed to help us improve she made it happen.Whatever the district designed for improvement, she made sure that Fine Arts was on the table! In May of this year, Linda started pushing me to be more of a mentor for other directors and I said UH UH! Well…if you know Linda, “NO” meant nothing to her! LOL.I’m going to miss her class, determination, thoroughness and fierce support. Prayers for her husband of 45 years, daughter, grandchildren and all who dearly loved her. 🌺🌺🌺 Linda Foytik Fletcher@pasadenaisdtx #music #Directors #TMEA #choir #band #orchestra #musiceducation #DirectorFineArts
