Sodi’s niece also confirmed his tragic death on Facebook, writing: “The worst news I ever got today is losing my Uncle Lil Sodi.”
Lil Sodi had been making a name for himself as a talented artist and was associated with the Eight Tray Gangster Crips. His rise to fame came after signing with the 100 Entertainment record label founded by Bigfase 100. Interestingly, he was named after his father, Big Sodi, who was also connected to the same gang.
The circumstances surrounding his passing and the exact cause of death have not been made public yet, and details about his age remain unknown. He later joined Young Jeezy’s music label Corporate Thug Entertainment, collaborating with well-known artists like Compton Menace, P-Smurf, Suga Buga, and Spider Loc. Among his various projects were “Chevy Music” and “The Best of Both Rags.”
Interestingly, Lil Sodi’s connection to the Crips has been linked to a non-personal, gang-related feud, particularly because of his affiliation with the Eight Tray Gangster Crips while the late rapper Nipsey Hussle was associated with the Rollin 60s Neighborhood Crips.
