Kodak Black, an American musician, is wanted by Florida authorities after allegedly violating the terms of his parole and failing a drug test. According to TMZ, a judge signed off on a request to arrest the 25-year-old on Thursday, February 23 and direct him to be detained if officials come across him.
The arrest warrant comes after the court discovered two violations by Kodak Black in recent weeks. The office where he was due to report for a random drug test revealed on February 3 that he had failed to show up for the test and even neglected to submit samples that day. Then, on February 8, the same agency announced that the artist had sent a sample last week, but the results verified that he had drugs in his body. The results showed that Kodak’s body contained residues of fentanyl, but the amount was unknown.
Kodak Black was detained on suspicion of drug trafficking.
Kodak Black was detained in July 2022 for possession of restricted substances without a prescription. Officials revealed that 31 hydrocodone tablets were discovered in his car during a traffic check in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. They also seized more than $70,000 in currency. He was released on the condition that he did not take drugs and that he pay a $75,000 bond. If he is caught, he will be held with no possibility of release until his next court appearance. Kodak’s name was recently mentioned in another court battle regarding an event that occurred at Justin Bieber’s Super Bowl post-party.
Adam Rahman and Mark Schaefer, who were killed on February 12, 2022, sued Kodak and Justin. The second pair claimed to have been “seriously injured” in a shootout during the Super Bowl holiday season. The fight broke out outside The Nice Man restaurant in West Hollywood, where Bieber was holding a party, leaving four people injured, including Kodak.
According to the accused victims, artist Usain Boo played a key role in escalating the brawl. According to news accounts, an unidentified individual assaulted someone in Kodak Black’s group, prompting the artist to take a stand and defend his friend. He was arrested on New Year’s Day 2022 on a petty trespass, and in 2021 he pleaded guilty to sexual assault in 2016.
