Kevin Lemons, a popular gospel singer, has just passed away at the age of 44. Kevin’s family announced the news in an Instagram post describing Lemons at various stages in his life.
Note stated:
“We regret to inform you of the passing of Founder Kevin Lemons. Please pray for his wife Tiunna, his family and his Higher Vocation as we all deal with this unexpected loss. Thank you for the outpouring of love that happened. We are truly grateful to each and every one of you!”
The cause of his death has not yet been revealed, however, according to 24update.net, he died of a heart attack.
On Twitter, fans paid their respects to the male singer.
Lemons has received much praise for his impeccable performance as a singer throughout the years. As news of his death spread, Twitter was flooded with tributes.

Kevin Lemons is a member of Kevin Lemons & Higher Calling.
Kevin was born on September 12, 1978 and spent most of his youth in Atlanta, Georgia. Kevin’s grandmother, Annie Ruth Lemons, founded the Atlanta Masonic Choir, which Kevin’s father, Wilbert Lemons, later headed. Kevin Lemons & Higher Calling was founded in 1996 during a meeting organized by his father attended by Kevin and several other young vocalists. With Kevin at the head, the ministry gradually began to grow, and they preached the message of love, unity, and spiritual growth among people. They are recognized for their albums Destined for Greatness and The Statement, which reached the top of the Billboard charts.
Kevin Lemons & Higher Calling currently has 70 members, all of whom are known for their vocals and performances. The set was signed to Hez House Entertainment, and they rose to prominence with the release of their 2021 album, 3rd Round, which featured the hit For Your Good. The band’s singers are mostly from Atlanta, Alabama, California, Florida, Virginia, Maryland, Washington, DC, and New Orleans.
Kevin’s choral music is always warmly received by the audience. He often organizes seminars at various educational institutions around the globe. Famous music business figures who have collaborated with him have praised his work. He has shared the stage with Bebe Winans, Donald Lawrence, Tamela Mann, Erica Campbell, Kirk Franklin and others. Lemons is a no-nonsense director on the 2018 Netflix drama series Come Sunday. The film, directed by Joshua Marston and starring Chiwetel Ejiofor, Jason Segel, Condola Rashad, Lakeith Stanfield, Stacey Sergeant, Vondie Curtis-Hall, Danny Glover and Martin Sheen, was released on April 13, 2018.
According to Atlanta News First, Kevin’s company friend, Bishop Hezekiah Walker, described the late musician as a “wonderful person”.
“Everything he does is seasoned with his love for God, and his visible love for others is an extension of that love. Kevin Lemons was a wonderful person who will be greatly missed.”
Tiunna, Kevin’s wife, survived him. His record company, HezHouse Entertainment, has said that other details regarding his memorial will be revealed soon.
