The subsequent search for Kevin Jewell spanned several days, intensifying after sightings of him driving his white 2008 Mitsubishi Triton towards Port Wakefield. Descriptions provided by Bray detailed Kevin as roughly 178 cm tall, weighing 90 kg, with a rugged appearance. It was noted that Kevin had a penchant for hunting and camping, suggesting a possibility of seeking refuge in wooded areas.
However, the search took a tragic turn when South Australian Police located Kevin Jewell’s body at Curramulka on the Yorke Peninsula at 11:30 am on Thursday. He was found approximately 150 meters away from his white Mitsubishi ute at an intersection, bringing the manhunt to a solemn conclusion.
“Major Crime detectives and Forensic Response Section will conduct a coronial investigation into the man’s death,” stated a police release following the discovery.
