Keith Slaughter of Frisco, Lebanon Trail High School student, killed in Little Elm party shooting

Frisco, Texas – The Little Elm community is mourning the loss of Lebanon Trail High School student, 17-year-old Keith Slaughter, who tragically lost his life in a shooting incident on the evening of October 21, 2023. The devastating event also left two other individuals injured.

Keith Slaughter’s family announced his untimely passing on Everloved, stating, “Keith Slaughter, II passed away unexpectedly on October 21, 2023, at the age of 17, through gun violence.” Born on June 20, 2006, Keith was a vibrant and curious child who, at the age of 6, developed an unwavering passion for basketball.

Keith’s family remembered him as a loving and joyful presence in their lives. He enjoyed watching movies with his family and had recently acquired his driver’s license. His family had never anticipated such a tragic loss, and Keith’s absence has left an irreparable void in their hearts. His memory will forever be cherished as a sweet, kind, and loving soul.

Keith is survived by his mother, Natasha Slaughter (Marcos), Keith Slaughter Sr., his brother Kemarian, his sister Ski’lyn Young, and twin sisters Saniah and Nakiah Slaughter.

The shooting incident occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. on October 21, 2023, on Sunlight Drive in Little Elm. Upon receiving the distress call, Little Elm Police Officers arrived at the scene to find a large party in progress. Tragically, they discovered two victims with gunshot wounds, one of whom was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other, a female, was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition.

A third shooting victim was found two streets away on Evening Mist Drive, although details regarding their condition were not disclosed by the authorities. The suspected perpetrators managed to flee the scene before law enforcement arrived, and as of now, the police have not released any information about the suspects or the possible motive behind the shooting.
