Lexington, Kentucky – The University of Kentucky community is mourning the loss of one of its own, as Justin Brindley, a dedicated university employee, tragically passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2023, following a fatal car accident in Henry County. His untimely death has left his family and friends in deep sorrow.
The devastating news of Brindley’s passing was shared through a heartfelt Facebook post that read, “My family and I desire your prayers. We just lost my nephew Justin Brindley in an automobile accident. My brother Jeffrey Brindley and his whole family need much prayers at this time. Thank you, and God bless you.”
Kentucky State Police swiftly responded to the scene of the accident, launching a preliminary investigation into the tragic incident. According to their initial findings, a Nissan passenger car traveling south on River Road suddenly veered off the left side of the road for reasons yet unknown, resulting in a collision with a tree. Tragically, Mr. Brindley, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, lost his life at the scene.
The Henry County Coroner was called to the scene, confirming Brindley’s passing. The Kentucky State Police Post 5 is currently conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding this heartbreaking incident.
Born in Lewisburg, Kentucky, Justin Brindley had made Lexington his home for most of his life. He had received his high school diploma from Tates Creek. Brindley was widely known for his insatiable intellectual curiosity and deep passion for education, qualities that endeared him to many.
