Judy Fitzgerald, 32, star of First Dates Ireland and Miss Bikini Ireland winner, passed away suddenly on Saturday 27th May 2023.
Ms. Fitzgerald, a frontline nurse and midwife, holds a degree in Nursing from University College Cork and a degree in Midwifery from the University of Limerick. In addition to her health care career, she pursues a career as a fitness model, winning the title of Miss Bikini Ireland 2014 and representing Ireland at beauty and fitness competitions around the world.
She also made memorable appearances at New York Fashion Week in 2015, interviewing designers and posing in glossy magazines. Ms. Fitzgerald is an advocate for mental health and positive attitudes through exercise.
She recently competed in virtual competition and became the 2019 All-European Fitness Model Champion. She founded a fitness website and app, “Judy FitZ Fitness, Get Fit with Fitz,” to offers personalized workout and diet plans.
Ms. Fitzgerald is remembered for her caring nature and an inspiration to her clients. Her sudden death had a profound effect on her followers and friends, who expressed their condolences and shared memories. Colleagues from the University of Limerick Maternity Hospital also mourned her loss.
