Jose Armando Wikipedia, Biography, eDad – A man later identified as Cameron Krumrey, 30, fatally shot Jose Armando Pina, 23, of Bryan, Texas, in the heart during an armed robbery in 2019. Pina was shot in front of numerous witnesses outside his family home, and after being taken to a local hospital, he died a short time later.

Krumrey was charged after being directly involved in the murder through surveillance footage, eyewitnesses and other incriminating evidence discovered in his hands. After finally pleading guilty, he was sentenced to 50 years in prison. At the Mark W. Michael Unit in Anderson County, Texas, he is currently serving a sentence.

How did the police recognize and track Cameron Krumrey as Jose Armando Pina’s killer?
When Cameron Krumrey, a Bryan resident, admitted to killing the 23-year-old during a serious robbery outside the victim’s home in September 2021, he was sentenced to 50 years in prison. Krumrey had previously been charged with murder in the 2019 shooting case of Jose Armado Pina.
Jose Pina was in his car in March 2019 when Krumrey, then 30, approached him while brandishing a gun. Before the latter shot Pina dead in the heart, the two fought. Krumrey was recognized by police after being described by a witness as the shooter and the incident. To find him, investigators were able to successfully obtain security footage of the crime.
After finding more surveillance footage of the suspect’s car and going through hours of audio recordings, authorities were able to determine a crime against Krumrey. They also noted that the white car that could be spotted moving around the neighborhood before the attack was the one the shooter used as a means of escape.
Among other pieces of evidence, Cameron Krumrey was found in possession of a murder weapon and a white car.
Authorities quickly issued a BOLO (Beware) to the suspicious white car and searched their database before determining that it was a woman-owned vehicle. Cameron Krumrey was also in the car when they found it. In addition to having a pistol of his own, Krumrey’s house also has other firearms, money, ammo and drugs. On the basis of the evidence discovered, he was later identified as a drug dealer.
Police are said to have found both the murder weapon and the victim’s clothing at the crime scene. They discovered that Cameron’s fiance was the owner of the white car and noticed scars on his arm. He was linked to Jose Armando Pina’s death by a flip-flop found nearby, as well as other forensic evidence, including DNA evidence and a gun.
In connection with Jose’s death, the jury found Cameron guilty of murder and drug-related offenses in June 2019. He is charged with manufacturing and transporting a controlled substance as well as own it. He was later found guilty of killing Jose and sentenced to 50 years in prison.
