John Brown’s life took a tragic turn when he was discovered lifeless, a victim of self-inflicted injury, as reported by authorities currently delving into the circumstances surrounding his death. The dedicated leader, known for his passion for travel, had been at the helm of Agoda, the prominent online travel platform, for over a decade.
Having ascended the ranks, John assumed the role of CEO in 2018, leaving an indelible mark on the company’s trajectory. In 2022, he transitioned to the position of Chairman, paving the way for Omri Morgenshtern to take over the reins. Agoda, with its headquarters in Bangkok, Thailand, is now left to grapple with the loss of a visionary leader.

John Brown’s journey with Agoda began in 2010 when he joined as vice president, progressing through roles such as CPO and COO before reaching the pinnacle as CEO. His connection with Thailand ran deep, with the country becoming his first residence outside the United States in 1992. It was there that he crossed paths with Rob Rosenstein, co-founder and former CEO of Agoda, leading to an invitation to join the startup.
