John Bejarano commits suicide on Mt Rubidoux in Riverside

In an unfortunate incident in Jurupa Valley, John Bejarano, 38, lost his life in a vehicle-pedestrian accident on Limonite Avenue near Camino Real. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department reported that the resident of Jurupa Valley was struck by a car while walking along Limonite Avenue at around 8:30 in the morning. Despite efforts, Bejarano succumbed to his injuries at the collision scene.

While the driver involved in the accident stopped after the collision, there are emerging claims linking John Bejarano’s passing to suicide. Reports suggest that Bejarano’s death might be connected to a separate incident on Mount Rubidoux, where a man took his own life near the iconic cross at the mountain’s summit.

The discovery of the man’s body on Mount Rubidoux was made by a hiker on Tuesday morning. Friends, relatives, and his girlfriend were reportedly searching for him when the body was found around 9:45 a.m. The Riverside Police Department responded to the incident, and a police helicopter asked people to leave the mountain during the investigation.

Mount Rubidoux, known for its popular hiking trail, has become an iconic location in Riverside, hosting events such as the Easter sunrise service since 1909.

As the authorities continue to look into both incidents, the circumstances surrounding John Bejarano’s death remain under investigation.
