Orillia, Ontario – The Orillia community is in mourning after the tragic passing of 17-year-old Jacob Cole, a resident of Orillia, Ontario. Jacob lost his life in a devastating motorcycle accident involving a truck in Ramara Township on Tuesday, September 5, 2023.

The heartbreaking news of Jacob’s passing was confirmed through a post shared on Wednesday, expressing condolences to his family and friends. The message read, “I woke up to the news this morning and didn’t believe what I was hearing. I’m soooo sorry for your loss Marty Cole, and I’m sorry to everyone else that lost a family member and a really good friend. You’ll forever be in our hearts. R.I.P Jacob Cole until we meet again.”

The tragic collision occurred near the intersection of Highway 12 and Ramara Road 46 at approximately 11:30 p.m. Emergency personnel from the Orillia Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Simcoe County paramedics, and township firefighters responded swiftly to the scene.
