Ismaila Sarr was born on February 25, 1998 in the northwestern coastal city of Saint-Louis, Senegal. Ismaila Sarr was born to Abdoulaye Sarr Naar Gaad, who is known as his father, and Marieme Ba, who is known as his mother.
Sarr grew up in Saint Louis with his four siblings, Papis Sarr, Kine Sarr, Badara Sarr and Ndeye Ami Sarr. In the 1980s, Ismaila Sarr’s father was a Senegalese footballer who played for the national team. His family belongs to the upper middle class. His father, who used to play football, is the main source of income for the family.
Ismaila Sarr’s football career
- On 13 July 2016, Sarr signed a 5-year contract with FC Metz club.
- On 26 July 2017, he signed a 4-year contract to play for Rennes. His transfer fee is €17 or €20 million.
- On 8 August 2019, Sarr signed a five-year contract with Premier League club Watford. It is said that his contract fee is £30 million.
His international career
Sarr will play in the 2015 Africa U-23 Cup for the Senegal U23 team. In 2016 he was called up to the Senegal senior team to play against Namibia in a qualifying match for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
