Social media reports claim that Michael Adebolajo, the infamous figure behind the tragic death of British soldier Lee Rigby, met his death within HMP Woodhill. The claim alleges that a convicted drug dealer stabbed Adebolajo over 50 times, an incident that has gone under the radar of mainstream media, intentionally avoiding giving him the sought-after attention.
Social media platforms, particularly X and Facebook, have seen this post circulating widely. However, the Ministry of Justice, when approached, clarified that these claims are entirely false.

On May 22, 2013, Lee Rigby tragically lost his life near the Royal Artillery Barracks in Woolwich, London, after being deliberately hit by a vehicle and then subjected to a brutal attack involving knives and a cleaver, orchestrated by Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale.

Both attackers remained at the scene until law enforcement arrived, resulting in their arrest. In 2014, Adebolajo was sentenced to a whole-life term, while Adebowale received a minimum sentence of 45 years for their involvement in the heinous crime.

Recent reports from the Telegraph suggest Adebowale expressing remorse for his actions to a fellow inmate and a prison staff member, contemplating an apology to Lee Rigby’s mother for extinguishing an innocent life.
Responding to Adebowale’s expressed contrition, Lyn Rigby, Lee Rigby’s mother, staunchly dismissed any possibility of forgiveness. She denounced the sincerity of Adebowale’s remorse, rejecting any attempts at contact, stating that his regret only adds to her profound anguish over her son’s murder.
Despite the social media posts suggesting otherwise, the Ministry of Justice has confirmed that Michael Adebolajo has not been harmed or killed in HMP Woodhill, debunking the false claims that have gained traction on social media platforms.
It’s a stark reminder of the impact of misinformation on social networks, emphasizing the importance of verifying information before spreading it further.
