In the early hours of November 24, 2023, the tranquility of Henderson Crossing was shattered as officers from the Hendersonville Police Department responded to a disturbing incident at the Orchard Bar & Grill. A distress call, reporting gunshots in the parking lot, summoned law enforcement to the scene at approximately 2:36 AM.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim, later identified as thirty-year-old Elijah Edward Timmons III from Asheville, lying lifeless with a fatal gunshot wound to the head. Despite their prompt response, Timmons succumbed to his injuries. In the course of their investigation, officers identified and secured a pistol believed to belong to the deceased individual.
