Hanks Anuku was born on August 27, 1960 in Ibadan, Nigeria. He is from Delta State.
His early years were in Ibadan, where he attended both primary and secondary school. He went to Loyola University, Ibadan, for high school and also earned a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mass Communication at Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi, Edo State.
