While in the 109th Avenue left-turn lane, the ambulance attempted to turn right into 109th Avenue, heading east, and collided with a northbound Harley Davidson motorcycle. The ambulance then skidded and struck two additional vehicles, causing critical injuries to both motorcyclists.

The two motorcyclists involved in the incident were a 57-year-old man and a 58-year-old woman, neither of whom was wearing a helmet at the time.
