In another unfortunate incident, a woman injured in a late-July collision between a motorcycle and an ambulance passed away just days later. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the incident occurred just before 5 p.m. on July 22 when an Allina ambulance, with lights and sirens activated, was traveling north on Highway 65 in Blaine. While in the 109th Avenue left-turn lane, the ambulance attempted to turn right into 109th Avenue, heading east, and collided with a northbound Harley Davidson motorcycle. The ambulance then skidded and struck two additional vehicles, causing critical injuries to both motorcyclists.
