Glenn Ryback, Wadsworth Village President, dies at 71

Wadsworth, Illinois – The tight-knit community of Wadsworth is in mourning as news spreads of the passing of Village President Glenn Ryback, who breathed his last on Sunday at the age of 71, as confirmed by village officials.

Having dedicated an impressive 30 years of service to Wadsworth, Ryback’s journey began in 1993 when he was appointed to the village board. His leadership culminated in his appointment as village president in 2007, marking him as the longest-serving individual to hold this position in Wadsworth’s history, according to village officials.

A statement on the village website expressed the collective sentiment, saying, “We will all miss the dedicated leadership provided by Village President Ryback, and we will continue his honorable work in serving the residents of the community that he loved so much.”

In addition to his public service, Ryback also managed his own real estate business since 1988, as noted in his obituary.

A visitation to honor Glenn Ryback’s life will be held on November 26, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, located at 15000 Wadsworth Road in Wadsworth. The community gathers to pay their respects to a man who played a pivotal role in shaping Wadsworth’s history and whose legacy will endure in the hearts of its residents.
