Tragedy struck when Jianna Pischetola, also 22 years old, was driving eastbound on the Staten Island Expressway shortly after 11 p.m. According to the police, she lost control of the 2023 Chevy Corvette and collided with a guardrail near Clove Road. The impact caused the sports car to overturn and collide with a 2018 Ford F150 pickup truck traveling in the middle lane. Following the collision, the Corvette skidded along the road before coming to a halt in the high-occupancy vehicle lane, engulfed in flames.
