Frank Tartaglia Passed Away At The Age Of 45

Frank Tartaglia, a renowned South Philadelphia filmmaker, has died at the age of 45. The announcement comes after the screening of his most recent film at the Philadelphia Film Festival. Frank Tartaglia is a writer, comedian, painter, and singer-songwriter.

Frank Tartaglia is best known as a director, but he also co-owns Connie’s Ric Rac club with his brother Joseph and Peter Pelullo. Ric Rac was given to Frank and Joseph by their father as a gift, however, it was closed last year because of the COVID-19 outbreak. Born in 1977, he enrolled at Bob Antonelli’s dance school, where he studied lip-syncing. At the age of 11, he won HBO’s Young Comedians competition and performed at Caroline’s Comedy Club. Tartaglia is also a 14-year-old winner of America’s Funniest People Award.

He eventually moved to New York and teamed up with a friend on an MTV series called Squirt TV when he was 16 years old. Tartaglia eventually joined the show as a co-host and wrote another episode, Idiot Savants, in 1995. Frank Tartaglia rose to fame after appearing on shows like Freaktown in Philadelphia and Payback Time in New York. He was 20 years old when he wrote, directed, and starred in the 1997 movie Punctuality. In 1998, he joined SVA and made a series of videos and a British show.
