Fitchburg Public Schools confirmed the heartbreaking news on Tuesday, October 24, 2023. At this time, no cause of death has been reported for Nydia Leger.

Nydia Leger was not only an educator but also a devoted wife to her husband Tyler and a loving mother to her daughter Arianna. She dedicated herself to shaping young minds, instructing students in Grades 9 and 10. Her loss has sent shockwaves through the school community, leaving family, friends, colleagues, and students in profound sorrow.

My heart is breaking at the passing of our beautiful niece Nydia Leger. She was a devoted wife to her husband Tyler, mom to daughter Arianna, and proud teacher in the Gardner and Fitchburg school systems. Please keep them all in your thoughts and prayers. Calling hours will be Thursday, Nov. 2nd, 4:00-7:00. at Mack Funeral Home, Gardner.

During her teaching journey, Nydia Leger found immense support from her family, particularly her loving husband and daughter. She embarked on her career as an English Language Arts teacher for seventh grade, marking the beginning of her impactful educational path.

Beyond her professional life, Nydia was a passionate supporter of New England sports and college football. Together with her family, she enjoyed sports events, cherished trips to Maine, embraced moments of swimming, and found joy in spending quality time with loved ones. Traveling and exploring the world were also among their favorite shared activities.
