Islamabad, Pakistan – The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) in Islamabad announces the winter break for Public and Private Schools. According to the detailed content of the notice, teaching and non-teaching staff are not allowed to leave the premises when there are any duties/tasks assigned due to the local government election. All boys & girls schools in Urban and Rural will be closed from December 26 to 31, 2022. All Federal Institutes of Education will remain closed.
It is important to note that FDE has officially announced only 6 days of leave. Students have 08 days to make the most of the winter break if including 02 Sundays of both sides of the holiday.
The announcement states that educational activities will resume on Monday, January 2, 2023. Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan also made official announcements about winter holidays due to cold weather.
This week, Balochistan’s School Education Department (SED) announced public and non-public schools in the region will have an extended winter break. From December 16, 2022 to February 28, 2023, all public and private schools in winter zone school districts will have an extended winter break.
