McKinney, Texas – The McKinney community is grappling with profound grief after the tragic loss of 16-year-old Eian Barnes, a young man whose life was cut short in a devastating car accident. Eian, a beloved resident of McKinney, Texas, succumbed to injuries sustained in the accident, leaving behind his six-month-old daughter, Kaylee, and his partner, Kaylin. While the McKinney community mourns Eian Barnes, the McKinney Police Department is actively seeking the public’s assistance in an unrelated hit-and-run incident that occurred earlier. On September 22nd, around 11:30 p.m., a pedestrian was struck on the southbound Frontage Road of Sam Rayburn Tollway near Grand Ranch Parkway, close to Alma Road and the Hub 121 exit. The victim, whose identity remains unknown, tragically lost their life in the incident. The suspect vehicle, described as a possibly 2012-2016 Honda Civic, fled the scene and is believed to have significant damage to its front and driver’s side, including a missing front driver-side fender well. McKinney PD urges anyone with information about this incident to contact them at 972-547-3480, and anonymous tips are also welcomed.
