Stratford, ON – The community of Stratford, Ontario, is mourning the loss of Dr. Paul Carey, an esteemed resident and the revered founder of the Chiropractic Health Centre in Stratford. Dr. Carey, aged 80, passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and passion for the field of chiropractic care. After an illustrious career spanning 48 years, he retired in 2015, leaving an indelible mark on the world of chiropractic care.

Renowned for his leadership and contributions to the chiropractic community, Dr. Carey played an instrumental role in the establishment of the Canadian Chiropractic Protective Association. He served in various prestigious positions, including past presidencies with the World Federation of Chiropractic, the Ontario Chiropractic Association, and the Canadian Chiropractic Association. In addition to his professional achievements, Dr. Carey generously shared his expertise, delivering speeches at various chiropractic associations globally and serving as a distinguished guest lecturer for the graduating class of chiropractors at CMCC in Toronto. He leaves behind a loving family, survived by his wife and three children, David, Lisa, and Robert, as well as seven cherished grandchildren. Continuing his legacy of excellence, his eldest son David joined the family practice in 1996, alongside medical professionals David Carey and Michael Laframboise, ensuring the continuity of exceptional care at 89 Waterloo Street South in Stratford.

The visitation to honor Dr. Paul Carey will be held at the W. G. Young Funeral Home on Saturday, November 4th, 2023, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and on Sunday, November 5th, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A mass of Christian burial will take place at St. Joseph’s Church on Monday, November 6th, 2023, at 11:00 AM, followed by a reception at the Stratford Golf and Country Club from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, allowing friends and colleagues to commemorate the life and contributions of this remarkable individual.
