Derek Feller obituary, Bellaire High School Alumnus, dies after battling with cancer

Columbus, OH – The community of Columbus, Ohio, and beyond is mourning the loss of Derek Feller, a cherished member of the Nationwide Realty Investors team, who passed away at the age of 29. The confirmation of his passing, shared through a heartfelt social media post, has left friends and loved ones grappling with the sorrow of losing such a genuinely loving and vibrant individual.

Derek Feller, born on March 31, 1994, in Wheeling, West Virginia, was the beloved son of Curtis and Mary “Molly” Feller and a former resident of Bellaire, Ohio. His journey led him to graduate from Bellaire High School in 2012 and obtain an accounting degree from Ohio University in 2017. Throughout his professional career, including roles at Nationwide Realty Investors and Novogradac & Company LLP, Derek touched the lives of many through his infectious personality and unwavering kindness.

World crushing, soul crushing, shock, fear, devastation, a physical pain in my body that aches for the hurt Morgan and the Feller family are going through.God had a bigger and better plan, and whenever you are I hope you have the biggest smile on your face and are in unconditional peace.“From chemo treatments to being sick in the hospital, you gave it your all. You fought so hard…till your last breath, you fought like hell. You are a fighter Derek. We will always think so highly of you and the love you brought into our lives.Thank you Derek for loving Morgan the way you did. Thank you for being so calm, gentle, patient, and giving Morgan the best years possible with you. Morgan was the happiest when she was with you. You were her better half. Her life is crushed without you.“May you rest in peace our sweet Derek, you were truly one of our life’s blessings. You have touched so many with your kindness and talent. Please watch over our girl Morgan , as she will need all the love she can get while she grieves. Friends and family will have the opportunity to pay their respects and celebrate Derek Feller’s life at the Baukecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home in Bellaire, Ohio. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 30, 2023, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm, followed by additional visitation on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, starting at 9:30 am. A Mass at St. John Catholic Church in Bellaire, Ohio, will be held at 10:30 am, with Fr. Dan Heusel leading the ceremony, and burial will take place at New Greenwood Cemetery in Bellaire, Ohio. Derek Feller’s vibrant spirit and legacy of warmth and compassion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
