‘Dennis Bangart’ MACCI Agri-Business Committee Chairman dies after battling leukemia in Loyal

Loyal, Wisconsin, – is in mourning after the passing of Dennis Bangart, the MACCI Agri-Business Committee Chairman. Dennis, a prominent figure in the local agricultural community, succumbed to complications related to his leukemia diagnosis on Wednesday, November 1st, 2023, at the age of 41. He was surrounded by his beloved family during his final moments.

Born on November 12, 1981, to Donald and Patricia Bangart, Dennis grew up on the family farm in Auburndale. He was a dedicated student, graduating as Salutatorian from Auburndale High School. His passion for agriculture led him to UW-River Falls, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Dairy Science with Summa Cum Laude Honors.

Dennis’s professional journey took him to AgCountry Farm Credit Services, where he served as a VP Loan Officer. He was deeply involved in the agricultural community, contributing significantly as a member of the Wood County Holstein Breeders and chairing the State Show hosted in Marshfield. He also dedicated years to chairing the prestigious Purple Ribbon Classic Heifer Sale each spring and actively participated in the Loyal FFA Alumni community.

Dennis is survived by his wife Sarah and their three young children: Luciana (4), Hendrick (3), and Loretta (9 months). He is also remembered by his father, Donald Bangart of Greenwood, his siblings David (Amber) of Greenwood, Mary (Michael) Ketchum of Altura, MN, and Michelle “Mikki” (Darrin) Wirt of Lewiston, MN. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Bangart, and his in-laws Ronald and Lana Siegel.

A funeral service to celebrate Dennis’s life will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, November 8th, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Loyal. Reverend Steve Brice will officiate the service, followed by burial in St. Anthony Cemetery. Dennis’s lifelong friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will take place at St. Anthony Catholic Church on Tuesday, November 7th, from 3:30 pm until 8 pm, starting with a rosary service, and on Wednesday from 9:00 am until the time of the service.
