This Christmas season, the CW is expected to feature some truly unique Holiday classics, and fans are eagerly awaiting the premiere of Christmas Around America and more. Christmas Around the USA will take place on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at 8 p.m. ET. The two-hour show will be repeated at the same time on Sunday, December 25, 2022.
Christmas Around the USA, presented by actor Dean Cain and author Laura McKenzie, will explain how Christmas is celebrated in various states across the United States. The Christmas broadcast will highlight the many holiday customs and colorful seasonal decorations in American homes.

Dean of Cain
Dean Cain was born in Mount Clemens, Michigan in 1966. Dean never met his biological father, Roger Tanaka, who abandoned Dean’s mother before he was born. Dean came to Los Angeles when he was 3 years old, with his mother, actress Sharon Thomas, and was adopted by Sharon’s husband, Christopher Cain. Dean attended Santa Monica High School and then enrolled at Princeton University for a bachelor’s degree in History. During his college career, he set a football school record with 12 interceptions.
He joined the Buffalo Bills football club in 1988 but was quickly fired due to a knee injury. Dean chose to join Hollywood after a dismal NFL career and starred in hit shows like Beverly Hills, 90210. Dean became a national name thanks to his portrayal of Clark Kent/Superman on the 1993 ABC series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. It also helped him get other popular parts on shows like Dogboys.
Cain appeared in nine major feature films in 2010, including Bed & Breakfast and Hole in One. He has also hosted Ripley’s Believe It or Not!, Masters of Illusion and Bloopers. In 2018, he was sworn in as a reserve police officer in Idaho, where he still works. On May 1, 2022, Dean was knighted by Queen Mia Dorsett. Dean and his ex-girlfriend, model Samantha Torres, have a son named Christopher. Now he will appear at Christmas all over the world.
Mrs. Laura McKenzie
Laura McKenzie is a 59-year-old Kansas City native. She rose to fame as an NBC reporter in the 1980s with her two-minute Vacation Tips and online travel recommendations in the Sunday newspaper. She’s authored and starred in 42 Republic Pictures home movies created as a tour guide, which won her Billboard Magazine’s “Video of the Decade” award. She went on to appear in American Adventurer, the longest running adventure show, airing 270 episodes.
McKenzie has also appeared in a number of films, including Red Sun Down and Chill Factor. She has won two Emmy Awards for the television series Laura McKenzie’s Traveler (in 2009 and 2010), as well as several Telly Awards, Hermes Awards, and Davey Awards.
Laura has been in a number of iconic episodes, including DaVinci Code Reveal, Newborn Animals, and DaVinci Code Tour. She was a spokeswoman for Best Western Hotels for four years. She has many books published by Donning Publishing, including London Travel Tips, Paris Travel Tips, and Los Angeles Travel Tips. The International Television Association produces Christmas worldwide. The Christmas special will air on the CW network on December 15, 2022.
