Daniel Craig Stated That He Has No Regrets About His Rebellious Tattoo

Many individuals regret having a tattoo on a wimp during their rebellious adolescence, but not James Bond hero Daniel Craig. Craig has a Peruvian-style condor tattoo on his shoulder and one on the inside of his right calf. However, during an appearance on The Tonight Show in 2009, he revealed to host Jay Leno that he had another tattoo that no one knew about.

“I have a handful of tattoos that you can see. There’s another instance when you wouldn’t. “It’s hidden away,” he said. Leno then inquired whether it was the sort that extended out to “Oklahoma” and answered “OK.”

“Yeah, it reads ‘Welcome to Oklahoma,’” Craig said. The actor revealed that he got it as a rebellious gesture when he was 16 or 17. He went on to say that make-up artists had a nightmare with them since they had to constantly cover them up. But did he have second thoughts about having the tattoo? “I have no regrets. You just cannot. “It’s a personal issue,” the actor said.

One of Daniel Craig’s tattoos is “a time for timelessness” and another is a lowercase ‘e’, so I’m assuming the other ‘e’ and “cummings” are located elsewhere on his body. Somewhere fun, I hope. pic.twitter.com/2bE8neHSjB

Daniel Craig Discusses His New Tattoo

Craig has added a couple of additional ones to his collection since the interview. During an interview with GQ in 2012, he talked up a bit about his new tattoos. According to the publication, the actor had phrases put on his right arm and a symbol on his left that may or may not be related to his wife, Rachel Weisz.

The body ink was not shown, although Craig confessed that the drawings were highly personal to him. “They’re both quite personal tattoos.” Yes, they are [when asked whether his tattoos were fresh]. They’re simply a part of the process. What about the rest of my body? You’d be interested then. Oh boy. “It’s been a pretty difficult couple of years,” the actor said. Craig’s tattoo was tough to detect despite being shot often since it was in his inner biceps.

However, film critic Guy Lodge revealed in 2020 that the actor had “a time for timelessness” body ink on his right arm and a lowercase ‘e’ somewhere on his left arm. The body ink is most likely a reference to the famous phrase by poet E. E. Cummings.

Whatever the body art meant to Craig, it was evident it meant something personal to him. However, the actor may use body art to morph his parts. In 2016, the actor gained news for his appearance as convicted explosives expert Joe Blank in Steven Soderbergh’s Logan Lucky. Craig had a blonde buzz cut as well as faux tattoos on his arms, hands, and fingers. He also had a couple protruding from his shirt around his neck. Channing Tatum, his co-star, was taken aback by the makeover, as he confessed during an interview on Good Morning Britain.

“I remember my first day on set acting with him and meeting him pretty fast in the make-up trailer; I saw what he was going to do with his hair and I was just like, ‘Oh, alright, that’s different… Alright,’” Tatum said.
