The unfortunate turn of events unfolded when authorities received distress calls at around 12:42 p.m. reporting gunshots at the 7100 Block of N 10th Street, originating from COAST Asian Bistro and Bar. Responding officers found a grim scene: a female victim, later identified as Amy Wong, had succumbed to fatal injuries within the office premises.
Simultaneously, a male victim, believed to be Michael Wong, was found outside the establishment. Rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical care, he fought for his life. However, the tragic turn of events unfolded further as the alleged assailant, having inflicted self-harm, was discovered deceased with a firearm nearby.
Details emerged suggesting a verbal altercation preceding the violence, where the suspect targeted the female victim before turning the weapon on the male victim and then himself.
