Tallahassee, Florida – The community of Tallahassee is grieving the loss of Clarice Seria Dalton, a cherished resident, who peacefully passed away on the evening of Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at the age of 83. The sad news was shared by her grieving family members. Clarice breathed her last at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication.

Originally hailing from New Kensington, Pennsylvania, Clarice made Tallahassee her home in 1973. For 28 years, she dedicated herself to her work, eventually earning the prestigious role of Office Manager in the Department of Clothing, Textiles, and Merchandising at the FSU College of Home Economics. Her commitment to excellence saw her hold this esteemed position for a decade. Moreover, she contributed significantly to the community as the concessions manager for the Seminole Boosters, overseeing operations at the baseball and football stadiums.

Clarice Seria Dalton’s passing has left a void in the lives of her family members, including her children Michael Dalton, George (Laurie Ann) Dalton, and Jennifer (Jay) Svendsen. Her memory lives on through her grandchildren: Sophia Dalton, Chris (Diew) Svendsen, Ashley Svendsen, and Andrew (Sarah) Svendsen. Additionally, she leaves behind her two brothers, Drs. Joseph (Dian) Seria and Leroy (Suzanne), as well as her great-granddaughters, Grace and Rose Svendsen.
